What does this Privacy Notice mean?

In this Privacy Notice, we provide you, visitors of the website https://www.energy-cells.eu (hereinafter referred to as the Website), with information about how UAB Energy cells (legal entity code: 305689545, business address: Gediminas av. 20, Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania) (hereinafter referred to as the Company) processes your personal data, which you provide to the Company by visiting the Company’s head office, website, e-mail, or by phone.

What kind of personal data do we collect?

When you visit the Company’s website, the head office, or contact us by e-mail or phone

  • for the purpose of concluding and executing contracts: the name, surname, personal identification number, bank account number, and other information related to the conclusion and execution of the contract is collected, depending on the nature of the contract. This personal data is processed due to the necessity to execute a contract, concluded with the data subject, or before concluding the contract at the request of the data subject. For this purpose, personal data is stored for 10 (ten) years after the termination of the contract.
  • for the purpose of selecting future employees in the Company and administering the database and checking Candidates: name, surname, date of birth, telephone number, workplace, e-mail address, place of residence (address), education, qualification, courses, desired job, date when CV was received, personal characteristics, work experience: last job, seniority in the workplace, occupied position, other work experience; knowledge of foreign languages: language, reading, writing, speaking levels; ability to work with computer programs, other data and motives, desired salary; other information in the CV, recommendation and/or covering letter, declaration of interests. If the Candidate applies to the place of work to which special categories of personal data are processed in the employee’s selection process, such as personal data related to the health and criminal record of the employee and other special categories of personal data to the extent provided for by the Republic of Lithuania Law on the Protection of Objects of Importance to Ensuring National Security. This personal data is processed on the basis of the data subject’s consent. For this purpose, personal data is stored for 1 year after the end of the selection process, or for 2 years if the Candidate has given his/her consent to the use of his/her personal data for future job selection processes.
  • for the purpose of selecting Candidates for membership of the collegiate bodies of the Company and/or the Group companies and administering the database, as well as for the purpose of checking Candidates: name, surname, date of birth, phone number, workplace, e-mail address, place of residence (address), education, date when CV was received, personal characteristics, work experience: last job, seniority in the workplace, occupied position, other work experience; knowledge of foreign languages: language, reading, writing, speaking levels; ability to work with computer programs, other data and motives, other information contained in the CV, recommendation and/or covering letter, If the Candidate applies to the collegiate body of the Company and/or the Group companies, to which special categories of personal data are processed in the selection process, such as data related to the health and criminal record of the employee and other special categories of personal data to the extent provided for by the National Security of the Republic of Lithuania ensure the law on the protection of important objects. This personal data is processed on the basis of the data subject’s consent. For this purpose, personal data is stored for 1 (one) year.
    for the purpose of the publicity: employee’s image, name, surname, workplace, position. This personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest, and when publicising the image of an employee from his/her personal life – on the basis of the employee’s consent. For this purpose, the data is stored for 5 years after the end of the contract of employment.
  • for the purpose of the publicity – Long-recording video cameras may collect personal data – Vilnius and Utena Transformer Substations, where the Project infrastructure is going to be installed, are equipped with long-recording video cameras mounted at a height of 4 meters. They are used for video capture and recording in the territory during the project implementation period. The purpose of the video recording is to capture the progress of the construction and installation works of the ongoing project at certain specified time intervals. Real-time video surveillance is not carried out. During the implementation of the project, the long-recording video cameras may also capture video images of people visiting the said territory. However, when using video material for project publicity purposes, it will not be possible to identify any individuals (images of individuals will be blurred during broadcasting if necessary). Accordingly, the material captured during the video recording (and used for broadcasting) will be processed no longer than 1 month after the video broadcasting.
    any other personal data provided by data subjects, which they may provide to the Company at any time by e-mail, by writing, by calling or by arriving at the place of the registered office. This personal data is processed on the basis of consent and stored for 1 year after the decision is made.

How is your personal data processed?

Your personal data will be processed in compliance with the requirements established by the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts. Your personal data is processed responsibly and securely. The Company, both when establishing the means of personal data processing and during the processing of the data itself, implements appropriate technical and organisational measures of data protection that are designed to protect the personal data processing against accidental or unlawful destruction, damage, alteration, loss, disclosure, as well as against any other unlawful processing. Considering the risks arising from the processing of personal data, appropriate measures will be determined.

To whom can we disclose your personal data?

  • We may disclose your personal data to any member of the Group based on a legitimate interest, to the extent necessary for internal administration purposes. The list of the Group companies is available HERE
  • We may disclose your personal data to personal data processors who provide services (perform works) to us, i.e., information technology service providers, auditors, lawyers, consultants, and process your data on behalf of the Company as a data controller. Data processors have the right to process personal data only in accordance with our instructions and only to the volume and extent necessary. With the help of data processors, we take all necessary measures to ensure that our data processors have implemented appropriate organisational and technical measures to ensure the security and maintain the confidentiality of personal data.
  • Your data may be transferred to statutory bodies and institutions, other persons performing the functions assigned to them by law.

What are your rights?

You have the right:

to submit a written request to us to provide you with information on whether data related to you is being processed, and if such data is processed, you have the right to access your personal data and the following information: purposes of data processing; categories of personal data concerned; the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your personal data has been or will be disclosed; where possible, the envisaged retention period for personal data or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period;
to request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data related to you;
to request us to delete your personal data. Nevertheless, this right is not absolute and can be justified for at least one of the following reasons: personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed; you have decided to withdraw your consent which allows the processing of your personal data when your personal data is processed exclusively on the basis of consent and there is no other basis for processing your personal data; your personal data has been processed illegally; your data must be deleted when we are demanded to do so;
to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted in one of the following cases: you dispute the accuracy of the data for the period during which we may verify the accuracy of your personal data; the processing of your personal data is illegal and you do not consent to the deletion of your data and instead request a restriction on its use; we no longer need you to process your data, but you need it to make, enforce or defend legal claims. In order to implement your rights, requests, complaints or claims, please provide us with written submissions:

We will respond to the received requests, complaints or claims in writing on the basis of the statutory and time limits established by legal acts and we will try to provide you with information as soon as possible, but not later than within 20 working days from the receipt of your request. This period may be extended, if necessary, by a maximum of 10 working days, depending on the complexity and number of requests. The Company will inform you about such extension within one month from the receipt of the request, together with the reasons for the delay.

If upon receiving a request, complaint, or claim, we have suspicions about the identity of the applicant, we have the right to ask the applicant for an identity document and/or to confirm his/her identity on the basis of the statutory established by law and/or by electronic means of communication that allow the proper identification of the person.

If we fail to provide you with the necessary information and/or have claims regarding the processing of your personal data, you have the right to apply to the State Data Protection Inspectorate by submitting a complaint.

How will we notify you of changes to the Privacy Notice?

We may update or change this Privacy Notice at any time. Such updated or amended Privacy Notice will take effect from the date of its publication on our website.
